Babaji's Kriya Yoga Initiations I–III and Satsangs

The techniques of Babaji's Kriya Yoga are transmitted directly from the teacher to the student through three initiations. In Lilleoru the initiations are conducted by Ingvar Villido, who was initiated in 2007 to become a teacher of Babaji’s Kriya Yoga - an acharya, with the spiritual name Ishwarananda.

The practice of Kriya Yoga is based on the use of awareness. Awareness is the foundation for conducting effectual yoga practice. That is why prior to taking the I level initiation into Kriya Yoga, it is necessary to complete preparatory courses I-II in The Art of Conscious Change I-V series. Before the initiation it is also advised to start with Kriya Hatha Yoga lessons.

The I level initiation is an intensive weekend course, during which one is taught the 18 Kriya Hatha Yoga postures – asanas, which make the life force - prana - moving in the body; the powerful breathing technique consisting of 6 phases known as Kriya Kundalini Pranayama, which regulates the subtle energies and awakens the universal life energy; 7 techniques of meditation to master the mind, awareness and intuition.

The II level initiation is an intesive weekend course, during which one acquires techniques for awakening the energy centers - chakras; the techniques for yogic rest and silence, in order to replenish and conserve life energy and direct it towards attaining higher levels of consciousness; many healing pranayamas are learnt as well as the pranayama of transformation of sexual energy; one learns to integrate awareness into daily activities; one will also receive an initiation into a personal mantra from the teacher.

The III level initiation is an intensive week-long retreat, during which one learns and practices advanced techniques that form the final part of the perfect system of 144 techniques of Babaji's Kriya Yoga. The III level techniques are also related to opening one’s potentials and attaining self-realization. The practicums are augmented by lectures which deepen the understanding of Kriya Yoga as a holistic path of development and help one better to understand its goal.

Satsangs – after the initiations it is possible to participate in continuous teaching. The I-III level satsangs are regularly held in Lilleoru. I-II level satsangs are also held in Estonian cities - Tartu, Viljandi, Pärnu and Rakvere. At these meetings with Ishwarananda, experiences related to practicing are shared, questions are asked and tehniques get specified.
