About Kriya Hatha Yoga

Kriya Hatha Yoga is a system of exercises for improving the well-being of the physical body and correcting any imbalances it might have. It is a complete system consisting of 18 asanas, laying the foundation for optimal functioning of the physical body and the achievement and maintenance of perfect health. A balance of tensioning and relaxing of the muscles is used while practicing the asanas. This gets the life force (prana) moving through the body, freeing the tensions caused by stress and increasing vitality.

Since 2014, regular classes "The Art of Conscious Change – Kriya Hatha Yoga" take place in Tallinn. Those yoga classes are intended for those who have acquired the basic knowledge of their inner world by having passed at least Ingvar Villido Ishwarananda's The Art of Conscious Change parts I and II ("Me, My Inner World – the Five Bodies" and "Releasing Emotions that Disturb My Life"). Those yoga classes are intended as an inspiring support for using the knowledge and techniques learnt at the courses when practicing Kriya Hatha Yoga exercises.

Kriya Hatha Yoga is part of the techniques of the level I initiation to Babaji’s Kriya Yoga, and their regular practice or attending Kriya Hatha Yoga classes is a useful preparation for participating in the initiations to Babaji's Kriya Yoga and using the techniques taught in initiations.

You can also use the DVD “Health and awareness - the 18 Kriya Hatha Yoga exercises” for getting acquainted with Kriya Hatha Yoga. This DVD (in English language with Estonian dubbing) can be purchased from Lilleoru. Although using a DVD is not the best way to start practicing Hatha Yoga if you are a beginner, it can serve as a useful aid when practicing at home in addition to going to yoga classes.

Here you can find out more about Kriya Hatha Yoga classes and instructors in Estonia. On Monday evenings, Kriya Hatha Yoga classes also take place in Lilleoru.
