Conversations with Ingvar: Satisfaction with Yourself
Are you happy with yourself? Do you feel satisfied when looking into the mirror? Do you have high or unrealistic expectations, low self-esteem, or have you achieved inner fulfillment?
Over the past half of the century, our lives have become a lot easier and more comfortable, but despite this, the levels of depression and dissatisfaction have increased tenfold. Then again, people’s dissatisfaction with life is not something new, it seems to be a growing trend that we all face from time to time.
Have you ever wondered why are we constantly dissatisfied even though on the outside everything seems to be fine?
Have you taken a look at your life, your expectations, hopes, wishes, and desires? Have you achieved everything you wanted to? Are you happy with how you look or do you feel uncomfortable in your body?
Do you sometimes feel that the burden of the past weighs you down and life seems meaningless, empty, and hopeless? Do you have days when you are at war with yourself or undermine yourself? Have you ever thought that “if I would be” or “if I only had”…, I would be more satisfied with myself.
What separates you from happiness? What is missing from your fulfillment? Do you let negative thoughts condemn you? Or do you have several experiences from setting a goal, achieving it, and still feel empty, lacking spark? Sometimes, however, you push so hard to go that extra mile and achieve something important, only to discover that the feeling you hoped for turned out not as good as you imagined.
Satisfaction with oneself is the foundation on which everything else – work, relationships, and the rest of one’s life are based.
How to lay this foundation of inner peace? What kind of environment is supportive and satisfying? What personal and professional goals should be met to make you feel fulfilled? Do you know yourself in the first place? Where are you in your life right now? Does the external affect the internal or vice versa? How do you come to terms with yourself so that your painful past would transform into a driving force? How to build a loving relationship with yourself? How to achieve inner satisfaction?
In this conversation with Ingvar, he answers these and many other questions related to self-esteem, talks about finding and understanding oneself and being satisfied with yourself.
