Inimene seab ise endale piirangud ja reeglid kindlaks ajaliseks perioodiks. Tavaliselt kestab see 15\u201341 p\u00e4eva. Kogu selle aja jooksul peetakse kinni antud lubadustest. Traditsiooniliselt lahkutakse <em>tapas<\/em>\u00b4e ajaks kodust ja minnakse palver\u00e4nnakule, kaasas v\u00e4hesed h\u00e4dap\u00e4rased asjad ning peetakse kasinust.<\/p>\n<p><em>Tapas<\/em> on rahunemise ja selginemise protsess. Sellisel viisil tekib v\u00f5imalus probleemidest vabaneda.<\/p>\n<p>K\u00f5igest, mis <em>tapas<\/em>\u00b4e ajal \u00fcles kerkib, vabanetakse palvete, patukahetsuse, meditatsiooni, mantrate, <em>Practical Consciousness<\/em>\u00b4i v\u00f5i <em>siddha<\/em> jooga tehnikate ja karma jooga abil.
