Humans possess intellect – a set of qualities that enable us to navigate life, perceive, make decisions, create, and understand phenomena. We use it every day – some more, others less consciously – but few realize its full extent or know how to use their mental tools to their full potential.
The Siddhas, the ancient sages and yogis, understood the nature of intellect, its scope, and potential, and knew how to put it at the service of higher goals.
What is intellect as a phenomenon? What happens when it is consciously developed and applied? Why does intellect function best – insightful, orientated, inspired, and optimizing – in the state of flow, in which all natural abilities are enhanced? And why does this ability disappear in the blink of an eye when emotions take over?
“Cosmic intellect means unlimited intelligence.” – Ishwaranand
We live in a time in which artificial intelligence is developing at an explosive rate. Machines can process and generate information at an enormous speed. The question is: can we keep up with artificial intelligence, or will we stop making the effort ourselves? What will happen if humans do not utilize their natural abilities – will they gradually disappear?
In the September episode of the Path of Wisdom series, we will explore the true potential of intellect and its relationship to the possibilities and limitations of artificial intelligence. And we will ask: what is the role of humans in a world where machines can do so much – but not everything?
