Ingvar Villido Ishwarananda: “True Self”

Have you ever asked yourself, “who am I really”? Why was I born human? What is the purpose of my existence? You have probably heard the expression True Self. But what or who is the True Self? Does every human being possess it? How can it be discovered or attained? And why is it hidden?

“You are not what you think you are.” Ishwarananda

In the February “Path of Wisdom” lecture, we will explore why the importance of the True Self has been discussed for thousands of years. We will lift the veil from the secret of being born human and explain the relationship between

  • True Self and what we usually consider ourselves to be
  • True Self, well-being, balance and humaneness
  • True Self and reality
  • True Self, the power of intention and willpower
  • True Self and ego
  • True Self and god

We will also discuss what happens to the True Self when a person leaves this world; what is the relationship of one Self to the other selves – are we all one, or are we all alone? Is it truly possible to understand another person?

Ingvar, who has been walking the path of Siddha Yoga for over 30 years, is one of the few teachers in the world whose teachings include the rediscovery of the True Self. In the “Path of Wisdom” lecture series, he shares the deeper knowledge he has discovered on this journey with a wide audience in his own simple and practical manner. He shows how to bring seemingly distant spiritual knowledge into everyday life and discover one’s true abilities and potential. “The True Self is nothing special, just absolutely perfect one,” he says.

Recording of the lecture will be available soon.
